As an ancient exclusive lord, Elddr is remarkably mid-tier as both an AoE damage dealer and lord. He may have good survivability via high health and semi-frequent shielding, but all of his damage potential is limited by requiring shields – so unless protected well, the damage just isn't there. Although he provides some damage increase for the other northerners, it is unreliable because it is again centered around units maintaining a shield.
