defenderMeriel has the lowest health of her compatriots and questionable defense, but doubles as a defense-based healer. This healing may be small and infrequent, but at A5 she provides constant regen for nearby heroes and her high magic resistance gives her some situational utility in the late game. If you need a tank, however, you should probably pick someone else.
