Providing a choice of either Physical or Magic damage, and a unique ‘pick your version’ with his ultimate, Solaris is a decent, but not exceptional, northerner mage and whilst he does gain additional damage based on his shield strength, the Faction pairing gives him no real benefits and the extra damage will always be low. He can fill a purpose in progression, but with the other options available, late game he does not see much use.
