How to play
Before the battle you pick a team of five from the full roster — only those heroes can be deployed, so cover your weaknesses. Demons march the sand path in waves that arrive on their own. Ranged heroes build on the stone platforms beside the road; melee heroes stand on the road itself to block, or on a sand patch next to it to strike passers without blocking. Each hero attacks their real in-game range shape, aims at the path automatically, and can be rotated (R) after placing. Kills pay gold — spend it on more heroes and upgrades between waves. From wave 4, gargoyles fly the road above the fighters' heads — nothing on the ground blocks them, and they claw at your platform heroes as they pass. From wave 5, enemy archers shoot any hero within reach while they march. A hero reduced to zero hit points is destroyed, so kill shooters fast and let Elowyn patch the damage. Every fifth wave Maw arrives — a slow colossus whose slam hits every hero in a diamond around him. Demons hit harder and come packed tighter the deeper you go. A demon reaching the exit costs lives; at zero the run ends. Survive all 20 waves to defend the realm.
